(b) Several large, ill-defined nodules and areas of consolidation resulting from the confluence of lung nodules are noted in both lung fields. There is small low-attenuation spaces that correspond to the spaces between partially coalescent small nodules are visible peripherally giving rise to the so-called sarcoid galaxy sign (not well seen on this older HRCT.
